Pine Run Salutes
Sharon Smith at
Annual Recognition Dinner
The Annual Long-Term Service Recognition Dinner held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in the auditorium at the
Pine Run Community Center was a stirring event, including the ultimate expression of a standing ovation for Sharon K. Smith, celebrating an unprecedented
35 years of culinary service.
Smith is currently the Director of Dining Services at Lakeview Personal Care. She wins accolades as a doer and a dreamer, blending her aesthetic vision with a detailed approach to every event, enveloping guests with warm party ambiance and imaginative plays on delicious food. Even in the recent blizzard, Smith made sure to reward the heroic efforts of front-line caregivers and snow removal teams by serving up buttery batches of deep dish French toast, sizzling sausage and bacon, fresh fruit, and tempting hot-chocolate bar.
Twenty-six associates were honored for their tenured service, ranging from five years to thirty-five years, dedicated to administration, companion services, dining, grounds, housekeeping, information technology, life enrichment, nursing, personal care, resident care, sales, security, and transportation.
Anne Bobek, Senior Director of Human Resources at Pine Run for twenty years, and a former critical care nurse at Doylestown Hospital, closed the party paying tribute to all honored Associates. “We are fortunate to have peers who not only manifest our Make Their Day! Philosophy, but who also demonstrate our core values – passion for excellence, working collaboratively, and acting with compassion.”
