Raise Hope Now! Gala
The Dementia Society of America presented A Salute to Glen Campbell during its Raise Hope Now gala Sept. 14 at Doylestown Country Club.
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, the society was founded by Kevin Jameson and raises funds for dementia research.
The tribute featured recording artist Jeff Dayton, who was Campbell’s bandleader for 15 years. The evening included the presentation of the Dementia Society Diplomat Awards, dinner and an auction. Former ABC newsman Don Polec was master of ceremonies. Guests were encouraged to wear boots and bow ties.
Leaders of The Garden at Pine Run were also in the spotlight. Administrator Mary Beth Baringer and Life Enrichment Manager Emily Reinert were recognized along with other national stand-outs as Dementia Diplomats. Exemplary multi-sensory pursuits in The Garden include the personalized My Music program, and Art without Boundaries, a creative approach to retraining the brain.
