Holiday Meal Delivery

Doylestown Health Associates, together with the founders of the health system, the Village Improvement Association (VIA), collaborated to deliver over 250 holiday meals on Friday, Dec. 22, including 161 meals for the residents of Grundy Hall in Doylestown.

The outreach was initiated by staff in Home Health/Hospice, Care Management, Health Quality Partners and Pine Run Community who identified patients and others who would benefit from having a ready-to-heat holiday feast, complete with pie delivered at the holidays. Patients of the Ann Silverman Clinic were among the beneficiaries. The VIA funded the purchase of the food, Pine Run Community caterer Flik prepared and boxed the meals, and staff delivered them.

“So much excitement and good will was generated during Thanksgiving when we delivered about 100 meals to our patients in the community that we decided to expand the effort during the holiday season to include all the residents of Grundy Hall,” said Mary Beth Mitchell, executive director of Care Transformation Strategies of Doylestown Health.

“Doylestown Health earns national recognition for high quality care, however our added focus on wellness inspires community outreach,” said Sheri Putnam, vice president of Strategic Initiatives and Integration. “The dedication of our staff and founders to proactively advocate for the health of our community is the best gift we can give at this time of year.”
