Pine Run Shares Ways Seniors Can Stay Connected During COVID With Bucks County Publication
Bucks County Senior Living magazine recently featured Pine Run Retirement Community staff and residents in an article entitled “Socializing Safely in COVID Times.” The article discusses the ways in which the senior living community is encouraging residents to participate in social interactions safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kevin Mallon, senior director of healthy living at Pine Run, told the publication that his team redesigned exercise and wellness activities and posted them online and through the community’s in-house television programming. That has been an important way that residents can stay active and connected, he said.
Cheri Kline, infection preventionist at Pine Run, discusses the ways in which Pine Run’s dining program has been reimagined to bring people and food together to beat social isolation while maintaining social distance. And Jennifer Doone, senior director of sales and marketing at Pine Run, advises seniors to pick up the phone to call a family member or friend in order to stay connected.
