Palliative Care

Pine Run Retirement Community offers a true continuum of care for seniors at every age and stage of life, including those facing chronic or terminal illnesses. At The Willows, our compassionate caregivers deliver both palliative care and end-of-life care in a tranquil setting that helps ease fears and support quality of life.

Palliative care is designed to help long-term care residents achieve the best quality of life possible while managing physical symptoms and other challenges that come with cancer and other advanced or complex illnesses.

Combining professionalism with compassion, Pine Run’s physicians and clinical team collaborate with patients and families to manage chronic pain and relieve symptoms. Our approach includes progressive protocols based on the latest research and quality measures. The best outcome is always a successful and safe return home.

End-of-life care is designed to provide care and comfort at the end of life, for residents and their families. At Pine Run, our team’s abiding goal is to relieve suffering as much as possible and to improve quality of life while respecting the wishes and beliefs of the dying person. Pine Run embraces each person, and their loved ones and family members, with a gentle approach backed by the strength of our experienced clinical team, social services experts, and compassionate chaplains, making a tender time as comfortable and enriching as is desired.
