DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (March 2023) – Pine Run Retirement Community is proud to announce that Beth Bodisch, RN, has been honored with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, a nationwide awards program designed to recognize the extraordinary compassionate, skillful care that nurses provide to patients and families.
A nurse at Pine Run since 2020, Bodisch is the first associate to be nominated for The DAISY Award. She recently was honored with a surprise ceremony and presented with her award by Home Care Nurse Manager Heather Flor, her supervisor.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to work alongside Beth, who is one of Pine Run’s finest nurses,” said Flor. “Her professionalism, kindness, and compassion shine through in everything she does for all of our residents.”
Bodisch was nominated for The DAISY Award by Virginia Watts, a Pine Run resident who cited Bodisch’s professionalism and compassion as worthy of recognition. Nominations for The DAISY Awards may be submitted by anyone – patient, colleague, supervisor, or family member – who experiences or observes extraordinary compassionate care being provided by a nurse.
“We are incredibly proud of Beth for the excellent care she provides here at Pine Run,” said Maria Santangelo, executive director of Pine Run Retirement Community. “Each member of our health care staff is committed to providing high-quality, empathetic care to all of our residents. They ensure all of our residents’ needs are always met with kindness and professionalism.”
Established in 1999 to honor the memory of Patrick Barnes and the kind and compassionate care he received from nurses, the DAISY Foundation recognizes nurses wherever they practice, in whatever role they serve, and throughout their careers – from nursing student through lifetime achievement. More than 5,400 healthcare facilities and schools of nursing in all 50 states and 35 countries and territories are committed to honoring nurses with The DAISY Award.
